The Bastards Of Metal Tour is a go! The concept is to take some vocalists out on the road with a powerhouse band backing them. The line-up consists of:
Bang Tango - featuring Joe LeSte (He'll be using Kevin DuBrow's band - Alex Grossi on Guitar; Matt Star on drums; Chuck Wright on Bass (House Of Lords, Ex-Quiet Riot);
Steven Adler doing the Best of Guns N Roses with Joe LeSte on Vocals with Alex Grossi (guitar) and Chuck Wright (bass);
Kevin Dubrow - doing the best of Quiet Riot and selected songs from his new solo album;
Stephen Pearcy doing the best of Ratt. Stephen will be using his own band. Players TBC.

i'm not sure it pays well, i think it is the only thing they know how to do. my friend used to manage a club here in town and he let me look at the band book that is sent to clubs by promoters.(it's a listing of the bands that will be on the road and in the area along with the asking price for certain days) i remember that LA Guns back in 2000 (traci and phil in the band) only got $900 to play on a weeknight. That jumped to over $1000 for a friday or saturday night. after you take into account they have a road crew to pay, equipment and transportation fees, it's not that much money.

last year i was talking to bobby blotzer when he was here and he told me it takes $25,000 a week to keep Ratt on the road. where that $25,000 comes from i don't know, record label, promotions, etc...he was telling me some cool stuff, if the drive between shows is over 500 miles then they have to pay the bus driver overdrive (same as overtime), if there is a day off between shows and the ride is over 500 miles he (bobby) would fly to the next show. he was giving me some good dirt on people, Taime Down is a constant liar and the joke of hollywood, good stories about Pearcey being in the band (they never got along), him (bobby) making the last monthly payment to buy out Pearcey and own the rights to Ratt. i wish i could have remembered more but it was like 5am and a bottle of tequila (first and last time thank you)later.

Heard his solo band is pretty good. The others I couldc are less about.

Don't you wish that you could have a recorder going at all times. I can't even count how many times I found myself sitting with somebody and they just started telling a story that I knew I would eventually forget. Hanging with Mother Love Bone I heard many, but have forgot all. Same for The Dogs, Mind Funk (yes, Mind FUNK, not BOMB, got it right this time) with Pat Dubar telling me TONS of gossip about the Punk scene and why exactly he and his band Uniform Choice changed as they did and what has gone on since then with them and almost evey other straight edge band. Now I forget. Best thing about that though is that I do remember the most telling part of the straight edge bands: most of them were NOT straight edge! LOL!!! Just a gimmick.

But yeah, I need to invent a 24 hour recorder that triggers on the second anybody starts to talk about interesting stuff. I have found actually though that the best stories come from the people in the smaller bands who watched the major bands, and remembered it all since it wasn't an everyday occurence for them. I will trust a guy in a little band telling me stories about the time they opened for Motley, before I will trust Nikki refuting said story.
